"We need a feminism that does not capitulate to possessive individualism, a feminism that does not assume that democracy requires capitalism, a feminism that is bold and willing to take risks."
Angela Davis (via neocolonialthoughts)
That’s why it’s time to revolutionize feminism again, we need women banding together and forming self sustaining women’s centers with gardens, housing, counseling and job placement through networks with women in companies with the ability to hire other women„
We need global networks so that women can buy and share goods and they can flee their country if need be to escape abuse on a systemic and individual level.
IT’S TIME AND IT NEEDS TO BE DONE,
and liberal choosey choice feminism shit ain’t gonna get that job done.
FUCK reforms, they only give us a fraction of what we need. It’s time to start carving out the society we need and want, from within the already existing society then change the world from the inside out.
"From the power that binds all things. That man frees himself who overcomes himself."
"Vincent Van Gogh used to eat yellow paint because he thought it would get the happiness inside him. Many people thought he was mad and stupid for doing so because the paint was toxic, never mind that it was obvious that eating paint couldn’t possible have any direct correlation to one’s happiness, but I never saw that. If you were so unhappy that even the maddest ideas could possible work, like painting the walls of your internal organs yellow, than you are going to do it. It’s really no different than falling in love or taking drugs. There is a greater risk of getting your heart broken or overdosing, but people still do it everyday because there was always that chance it could make things better. Everyone has their yellow paint."
